Plumerias are one of the most popular flowers here in Hawaii, known for their fragrant smell and used often in luau decor and leis. This beautiful handcrafted lamp features two bright orange plumerias against a backdrop of beautiful creamy amber, on each of it's four panels. It was created with 144 hand cut pieces of glass and stands 12" tall by 6" wide, with an 8' cord, inline switch, and solid brass feet. It makes a stunning accent for any home. Made in Hawaii by DK. Nagano.

Born and raised in Hawaii on the island of
Oahu, Doreen K. Nagano is a completely
self-taught artist. As a little girl she drew obsessively, having a fit if her drawing didn't come out the way she envisioned it. It is this perfectionist attitude that eventually enabled her to become adept at painting portraits.
Growing up during the 60's and 70's, she
witnessed the influx of new cultures into the islands and developed an appreciation for all things cultural.
In 2001, she became intrigued with the beauty of glass and set about researching the process of creating stained glass, which she immediately took to. After much trial and error, she has developed her
own style, in which the beauty of the "local" culture is expressed.
